TRUMP’S CABINET
All of the appoinments have been made to plunder, weaponize, and pervert vital services and agencies that the American people have always relied upon to protect them and provide a better quality of American life.
They are there to destroy and grift. Period.
“All permanent members of the Cabinet of the United States as heads of executive departments require the advice and consent of the United States Senate following appointment by the president before taking office. The vice presidency is exceptional in that the position requires an election to office pursuant to the United States Constitution. The president may also designate heads of other agencies and non-Senate-confirmed members of the Executive Office of the President as cabinet-level members of the cabinet. The cabinet meets with the president in the Cabinet Room, a room adjacent to the Oval Office.
As the Republican Party controls the Senate, it is expected that all of Trump’s designates will be confirmed with little contest. However, some nominees have been met with criticism by a few Senate Republicans.
Trump’s cabinet choices were described by Business Insider and Reuters as valuing personal loyalty over relevant experience, and for having a range of conflicting ideologies and “eclectic personalities”. It was also described as the wealthiest administration in modern history, with over 13 billionaires chosen to take government posts. Trump officials and Elon Musk threatened to fund primary challengers in upcoming elections against Republican senators who did not vote for Trump’s nominees. He nominated or appointed 23 former Fox News employees to his administration.“

Vice President: JD Vance 2025–present
James David Vance (born James Donald Bowman, August 2, 1984) is an American politician, author, attorney, and Marine Corps veteran who is the 50th vice president of the United States. A member of the Republican Party, he represented Ohio in the U.S. Senate from 2023 to 2025.
Education: Ohio State University, B.A., 2009; Yale Law School, J.D., 2013
Military service: US Marine Corps, 2003–2007, Corporal
Religion: Catholic
“In the year before Trump took the Oval Office, Vance, who once described himself as a “Never Trump guy,” was quick to criticize the former president, using words like “idiot” and even “Hitler” to describe Trump.
Since then, Vance said he regrets his past criticism of Trump — especially during his contentious Republican Senate primary in 2021. The Ohio senator, who got Trump’s endorsement in the primary, has also since called Trump a great president.
But before the endorsement that helped him grab a Senate seat, here are five things the vice presidential pick said about Trump:
“I’m a Never Trump guy.”
“I’m a ‘Never Trump’ guy,” Vance said in an interview with Charlie Rose in 2016, while publicizing his memoir “Hillbilly Elegy.” “I never liked him.”
“As somebody who doesn’t like Trump, myself, I sort of — I understand where Trump’s voters come from,” Vance later said in the Rose interview. “But I also don’t like Trump himself, and that made me realize that maybe I’m not quite part of either world totally.”
During Vance’s Senate Republican primary in 2021, the interview clip was used regularly in ads from Club for Growth Action and USA Freedom Fund, who were backing another Republican candidate and aimed to show discord between Vance and Trump.
“My god, what an idiot.”
Also included in the ads from Club for Growth Action and USA Freedom Fund were some of Vance’s since-deleted tweets criticizing the former president.
“My god what an idiot,” Vance wrote in one of the tweets. It was one of many tweets now deleted.
“America’s Hitler”
Vance once questioned whether Trump could be “America’s Hitler” in a private Facebook message in 2016 to one of his former roommates.
It was that or a “cynical asshole like Nixon,” Vance wrote in messages to former Yale Law School classmate Josh McLaurin, now a Democratic state senator in Georgia.
It’s a statement Democrats highlighted after Trump was shot at during a rally on Saturday night. Soon after the attack, Vance was quick to post that the Biden campaign’s rhetoric “led directly to President Trump’s attempted assassination.”
Vance added, “The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs.”
Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California was quick to point out Vance’s old text messages on Sunday: “You called Trump “American Hitler” — now show your self back to the kids’ table,” he said on social media.
“Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation’s highest office.”
Vance, who first became popular as an author, once wrote an op-ed for The New York Times titled “Why Trump’s Antiwar Message Resonates with White America.” He didn’t hold back his disapproval for the former president then while also describing his own belief as to why people in the communities he grew up in supported Trump.
“Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation’s highest office,” he wrote in the op-ed, describing his own families’ adoration and commitment to Trump.
“I can’t stomach Trump.”
And while Vance will join Trump as his running mate this fall, in 2016, Vance said he didn’t plan on voting for Trump — instead opting for a third-party candidate.
In a now-deleted tweet weeks before the election, Vance wrote that he would be voting for third-party candidate Evan McMullin, a former CIA officer who ran as an independent.
“I can’t stomach Trump,” Vance said in an interview with NPR, when describing why he would vote for a third-party candidate. “I think that he’s noxious and is leading the white working class to a very dark place.”
He even considered voting for Hillary Clinton over Trump: “I think there’s a chance, if I feel like Trump has a really good chance of winning, that I might have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton.”

Secretary of State: Marco Rubio 2025–present
Rubio opposes legal abortion, even in cases of rape and incest.
Rubio supports continued criminal penalties for recreational cannabis use.
Rubio has argued for closing the federal Department of Education, expanding public charter schools, and for teaching both creationism and evolution.
The League of Conservation Voters gave Rubio a lifetime score of 9% for votes on environmental issues.
Rubio disparaged Russian president Vladimir Putin as a “gangster” and “an organized crime figure that runs a country”.
In 2023, Rubio and Tim Kaine co-sponsored a provision in the annual National Defense Authorization Act that codified that a U.S. president cannot withdraw from NATO without congressional approval.
Marco Rubio’s credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Florida (1993) and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Miami School of Law (1996). He also has a history of public service, having served as a city commissioner for West Miami and as a member of the Florida House of Representatives.

Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent 2025–present
Bessent opposes raising the federal minimum wage in the United States.
As of December 28, 2024, Bessent’s net worth was at least $521 million according to his financial assets disclosure by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics; his actual net worth is speculated to be around $600 million.
Bessent has had close friendships with King Charles III and Robert Trump. Robert’s ex-wife, Blaine Trump, is the godmother of Bessent’s daughter.
Scott Bessent’s professional background is rooted in finance, particularly hedge fund management. He is known for his work at Soros Fund Management and his subsequent founding of Key Square Group. He also served as an economic advisor, fundraiser, and donor for the Trump 2024 campaign, and was later nominated and confirmed as the 79th U.S. Treasury Secretary.
Bessent served as an economic advisor, fundraiser, and major donor for the Donald Trump 2024 presidential campaign. On November 22, 2024, President-elect Trump announced his nomination of Bessent for Treasury Secretary in the second Trump administration. Bessent was confirmed by the United States Senate on January 27, 2025, by a 68–29 vote, and sworn in as the 79th U.S. Treasury Secretary on January 28.
Bessent is the second openly gay man to serve in the Cabinet of the United States (after Pete Buttigieg).
In 2000, Bessent hosted a fundraiser for Al Gore at his home in East Hampton, New York. That year, he also donated $1,000 to John McCain. In 2007, he donated $2,300 to Barack Obama and in 2013, he donated $25,000 to Hillary Clinton’s campaign. At that time, he was described as a Democrat who supported liberal causes.
After Trump was elected president in 2016, Bessent donated $1 million to Trump’s 2017 presidential inaugural committee. In 2023 and 2024, he donated more than $1 million to Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth 2025–present
The following is the text of the email that Penelope Hegseth sent to her son, Pete Hegseth.
“Son,
I have tried to keep quiet about your character and behavior, but after listening to the way you made Samantha feel today, I cannot stay silent. And as a woman and your mother I feel I must speak out..
You are an abuser of women — that is the ugly truth and I have no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around, and uses women for his own power and ego. You are that man (and have been for years) and as your mother, it pains me and embarrasses me to say that, but it is the sad, sad truth.
I am not a saint, far from it.. so don’t throw that in my face,. but your abuse over the years to women (dishonesty, sleeping around, betrayal, debasing, belittling) needs to be called out.
Sam is a good mother and a good person (under the circumstances that you created) and I know deep down you know that. For you to try to label her as “unstable” for your own advantage is despicable and abusive. Is there any sense of decency left in you? She did not ask for or deserve any of what has come to her by your hand. Neither did Meredith.
I know you think this is one big competition and that we have taken her side… bunk… we are on the side of good and that is not you. (Go ahead and call me self-righteous, I dont’ care)
Don’t you dare run to her and cry foul that we shared with us… that’s what babies do. It’s time for someone (I wish it was a strong man) to stand up to your abusive behavior and call it out, especially against women
We still love you, but we are broken by your behavior and lack of character. I don’t want to write emails like this and never thought I would. If it damages our relationship further, then so be it, but at least I have said my piece. [Redacted]
And yes, we are praying for you (and you don’t deserve to know how we are praying, so skip the snarky reply)
I don’t want an answer to this… I don’t want to debate with you. You twist and abuse everything I say anyway. But… On behalf of all the women (and I know it’s many) you have abused in some way, I say… get some help and take an honest look at yourself…
Mom”
An inexperienced secretary of defense harms readiness and care of U.S. service members, sends a signal of weakness to the United States’ adversaries, and will make Americans less safe at home and abroad.
Hegseth has asserted that he believes U.S. troops need not respect the Geneva Conventions—laws that detail how soldiers and civilians should act and be treated during war—and he has supported illegal torture techniques such as waterboarding. He lobbied for impunity for service members accused of war crimes, including former Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, whose own platoon courageously spoke up about his violations of the laws of war. These positions are shocking for any military officer, let alone the secretary of defense, and put America’s deployed service members at risk of reprisal.
Prior to becoming defense secretary, Hegseth was a TV personality who cohosted Fox & Friends Weekend from 2017 to 2024. While on the show he became known for his conservative views and was an outspoken supporter of Trump.
In 2004 Hegseth married Meredith Schwarz; the couple divorced in 2009. The following year he wed Samantha Deering, and they later had three children. In 2017 Pete Hegseth had a child with Jennifer Rauchet, who also worked at Fox News. Later that year he and Deering divorced, and Hegseth married Rauchet in 2019. At the time he also became stepfather to Rauchet’s three children from a previous marriage.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth belongs to an archconservative church network. Here’s what to know
WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says he’s proud to be part of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches, an archconservative network of Christian congregations.
Hegseth recently made headlines when he shared a CNN video on social media about CREC, showing its pastors arguing women should not have the right to vote.
Pastor Doug Wilson, a CREC co-founder, leads Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, the network’s flagship location. Jovial and media-friendly, Wilson is no stranger to stirring controversy with his church’s hard-line theology and its embrace of patriarchy and Christian nationalism.
Wilson told The Associated Press on Monday he was grateful Hegseth shared the video. He noted Hegseth’s post was labeled with Christ Church’s motto: “All of Christ for All of Life.”
“He was, in effect, reposting it and saying, ‘Amen,’ at some level,” Wilson said.
Hegseth, among President Donald Trump’s most controversial Cabinet picks, attends Pilgrim Hill Reformed Fellowship, a CREC member church in a suburb outside Nashville, Tennessee. His pastor, Brooks Potteiger, prayed at a service Hegseth hosted at the Pentagon.
CREC recently opened a new outpost in the nation’s capital, Christ Church DC, with Hegseth attending its first Sunday service.
Pentagon chief spokesman Sean Parnell confirmed Hegseth’s CREC affiliation and told the AP that Hegseth “very much appreciates many of Mr. Wilson’s writings and teachings.”
Here are other things to know about the church network:
What does Wilson’s church say about women?
Wilson’s church and wider denomination practice complementarianism, the patriarchal idea that men and women have different God-given roles. Women within CREC churches cannot hold church leadership positions, and married women are to submit to their husbands.
Wilson told the AP he believes the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote “was a bad idea.” Still, he said his wife and daughters vote.
He would prefer the United States follow his church’s example, which allows heads of households to vote in church elections. Unmarried women qualify as voting members in his church.
“Ordinarily, the vote is cast by the head of the household, the husband and father, because we’re patriarchal and not egalitarian,” Wilson said. He added that repealing the 19th Amendment is not high on his list of priorities.
Hegseth’s views on women have been in the spotlight, especially after he faced sexual assault allegations, for which no charges were filed. Before his nomination to lead the Defense Department, Hegseth had questioned women serving in combat roles in the military.
Wilson, a Navy veteran who served on submarines, also questions women serving in some military roles.
“I think we ought to find out the name of the person who suggested that we put women on those submarines and have that man committed,” Wilson said. “It’s like having a playpen that you put 50 cats in and then drop catnip in the middle of it. Whatever happens is going to be ugly. And if you think it’s going to advance the cause of women and make sailors start treating women less like objects, then you haven’t been around the block very many times.”
What is the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches?
Founded in 1998, CREC is a network of more than 130 churches in the United States and around the world.
CREC ascribes to a strict version of Reformed theology — rooted in the tradition of 16th-century Protestant reformer John Calvin — that puts a heavy emphasis on an all-powerful God who has dominion over all of society.
Wilson and CREC are also strongly influenced by a 20th-century Reformed movement called Christian Reconstructionism, according to Julie Ingersoll, a religion professor at the University of North Florida who wrote about it in her 2015 book “Building God’s Kingdom.”
She sees that theology reflected in the Wilson slogan Hegseth repeated on social media.
“When he says, ‘All of life,’ he’s referencing the idea that it’s the job of Christians to exercise dominion over the whole world,” Ingersoll said.
Since the 1970s, Wilson’s ministry and influence have grown to include the Association of Christian Classical Schools and New Saint Andrew’s College in Moscow, Idaho.
The ministry has a robust media presence, including Canon Press, publisher of books like “The Case for Christian Nationalism” and “It’s Good to Be a Man: A Handbook for Godly Masculinity.”
What is the connection to Christian nationalism?
Wilson wants the United States to be a Christian nation. He does not mind being called a Christian nationalist.
“I am more than happy to work with that label because it’s a better label than what I usually get called,” Wilson said.
“If I get called a white nationalist or a theo-fascist or a racist bigot, misogynist thug, I can’t work with them except to deny them,” he said. “I’m a Christian, and I’m a patriot who loves my country. How do I combine those two things? How do they work together?”
U.S. Christian nationalism is a fusion of American and Christian identity, principles and symbols that typically seeks a privileged place for Christian people and ideas. Wilson contends that early America was Christian, a notion historians dispute.
“If we succeed, this will be Christian America 2.0,” Wilson wrote in 2022.
American Christian nationalism involves overlapping movements. Among them are evangelicals who view Trump, a Republican, as a champion, some of whom are influenced by Christian Reconstructionist ideas; a charismatic movement that sees politics as part of a larger spiritual war; and a Catholic postliberal movement envisioning a muscular government promoting traditional morality.
CREC now has a closer relationship to the upper echelons of government. This has renewed scrutiny of Wilson’s other controversial views, including his downplaying of the horrors of Southern slavery in the U.S. But it’s also given Wilson a bigger stage.
Hegseth and Wilson have spoken approvingly of each other. Wilson said they have only met in person once, when they talked informally after Wilson preached at Hegseth’s home church in Tennessee this year.
Wilson said CREC’s new Washington church began as a way to serve church members who relocated to work in the Trump administration.
“This is the first time we’ve had connections with as many people in national government as we do now,” Wilson said. “But this is not an ecclesiastical lobbying effort where we’re trying to meet important people. We’re trying to give some of these people an opportunity to meet with God.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi 2025–present
Pam Bondi is a corporate lobbyist with ties to a foreign oil monarchy, and has a clear anti-climate, anti-democracy record. As Florida’s Attorney General she put Big Polluters and corporate interests over the health and safety of communities. She shut down a fraud investigation into Trump University after Trump made an illegal $25,000 donation to her PAC, and she currently holds millions of dollars of stock in Trump’s social media company. Bondi denied the 2020 election results, publicly supported Donald Trump in his criminal cases, and represented him in his well-deserved first impeachment.
Pam Bondi is an election-denier, corporate lobbyist, Big Oil and Gas supporter, and longtime Trump ally.
Former Florida attorney general (2011-2019), represented Donald Trump during his first impeachment trial.
During her eight years as attorney general of Florida, Bondi unsuccessfully brought cases that aimed to undermine the Affordable Care Act and fought to keep the state’s ban on same-sex marriage.
The Attorney General is one of the most powerful positions in the federal government; Ms. Bondi’s record demonstrates that she is a threat to our civil rights — especially for women, religious minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, and other marginalized communities.

Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum 2025–present
Environmental and energy policy
* Prioritizing fossil fuels over renewable energy: Burgum is criticized for policies that favor the fossil fuel industry, potentially hindering the transition to a cleaner energy economy. For example, his orders are seen as aimed at restricting clean energy projects and promoting oil and gas exploration on federal lands and waters.
* Weakening environmental regulations: Critics fear that his actions could undermine important environmental protections such as the Endangered Species Act and the National Environmental Policy Act, which ensure environmental impact is considered before projects proceed.
* Opening protected areas to development: His policies could open the door to drilling and mining in previously protected areas, including national monuments, according to the cherokeephoenix.org.
Social and cultural issues
* Opposition to transgender rights: As governor of North Dakota, Burgum signed several bills restricting the rights of transgender people, including bans on gender-affirming care for minors and restricting bathroom access. Some fear this stance could impact federal policy or further polarize these issues nationally.
Governance and ethics
* Conflicts of interest: As Interior Secretary and former chair of North Dakota’s Industrial Commission, Burgum has been accused of potential conflicts of interest due to his financial ties to companies regulated by these bodies.
“Close ties to an industry titan
There is perhaps no better demonstration of Burgum’s close ties to oil and gas producers than his friendship with Harold Hamm, the founder of Continental Resources who is responsible for much of North Dakota’s fracking boom. The billionaire Oklahoma wildcatter advises Trump on energy policy and is widely viewed as playing a role in helping Burgum secure the nomination to lead Interior.
The records revealed that a Who’s Who of oil executives had calls scheduled with Burgum. The include: the CEO of Chevron and Exxon executives; Marathon Oil officials had an audience with Burgum in 2022; and the governor also spoke before the Hess Corporation’s board of directors’ dinner.

Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins 2025–present
* Lack of direct agricultural experience: While Rollins has a degree in agricultural development, critics argue her professional experience has focused more on policy and think tanks rather than practical agricultural operations.
* Climate change skepticism: Rollins has publicly expressed doubts about the severity and causes of climate change, a position that clashes with scientific consensus and could hinder USDA efforts to address its impacts on farming.
* Ties to fossil fuel industry: Her husband’s employment in the oil and gas sector and her past advocacy for fossil fuel interests raise concerns about potential conflicts of interest and prioritization of industry over environmental protection.
* Controversial rhetoric: Rollins has been criticized for using divisive language and promoting conspiracy theories, such as labeling federal employees the “deep state” and characterizing social justice movements as inherently violent.
* Approach to food and farming policy: Critics worry that Rollins’ policies, like cutting funding for local food programs, could negatively impact small farmers and healthy food access.

Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick 2025–present
Lutnick is one of Trump’s closest economic advisors, he’ll be largely responsible for implementing Trump’s promised tariff’s on all foreign imports.
A recent survey of US economic experts by the Clark Center for Global Markets found 96% agreed that imposing tariffs results in substantial costs being borne by consumers.
Lutnick’s statement that Social Security beneficiaries wouldn’t complain about missing a check is a slap in the face of many Americans.
1. Trade and Tariffs
* Lutnick, as Commerce Secretary, is a strong advocate for President Trump’s tariff policies, which have been harming US industries and consumers.
* Some economists and business leaders have expressed that the tariffs will lead to retaliatory measures from other countries and disrupt global supply chains.
* Uncertainty around trade policies will hinder business investment and growth.
2. Economic Policies
* Lutnick has advocated for reducing regulations and taxes on businesses, especially in the financial sector, which will lead to increased risk-taking and instability.
* He wants to alter how GDP is calculated to exclude government spending and economists say it will misrepresent the TRUE state of the economy.
* There are MANY conflicts of interest, given Lutnick’s background as a billionaire investor with ties to various industries and financial firms.
3. Broadband Policy
* Lutnick’s Commerce Department has shifted the focus of the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program away from supporting fiber-based internet infrastructure in rural areas.
* Lutnick is prioritizing cheaper, less reliable options like satellite internet will widen the digital divide and hinder economic competitiveness in rural America.
4. Past Business Conduct
* Lutnick’s past stewardship of Cantor Gaming, a sports betting company, has a history of regulatory violations, including money laundering and facilitating illegal gambling; leading to large fines and a top executive pleading guilty to conspiracy.
* The company settled with the Justice and Treasury Departments over these violations.
5. Conflicts of Interest
* Lutnick is a major Trump donor and his business interests in sectors affected by Commerce Department decisions (like cryptocurrency and financial services) are real conflicts of interest.
* One example is his public promotion of Tesla stock on national television while his company had a substantial investment in the company, leading to calls for an ethics investigation.
Naturally, that will never happen in a Trump administration.
* Glaring impropriety and leveraging his position for extreme personal gain.
Commerce Department employees have reported plummeting morale under Lutnick’s leadership, with concerns that he has focused on a “audience of one” (President Trump) and neglected traditional departmental functions.

Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer 2025–present
Stances on “culture war” issues: Chavez-DeRemer has been criticized for her alignment with former President Trump and his allies on issues like “parental rights” bills in schools, opposition to transgender participation in women’s sports, and climate change denial. Some argue these stances are divisive and negatively impact marginalized groups.
Perceived flip-flopping on key issues: Opponents, and some media outlets, have criticized Chavez-DeRemer for appearing to change her positions on issues, such as abortion, depending on the political climate. Her stances have been described as conflicting, and she has faced accusations of taking more hardline conservative positions in federal elections than she did previously.
Labor record and relationship with unions: While Chavez-DeRemer has sought endorsements from labor groups and co-sponsored legislation like the PRO Act (aimed at strengthening unions), some Democrats and union leaders contend her support for labor is not genuine or consistent. She has also faced criticism from some conservatives who view her as being too pro-union.
Economic policies: Critics argue Chavez-DeRemer has supported economic policies detrimental to the middle class, such as backing tax laws that favored corporations and the wealthy, while opposing minimum wage increases and government-funded healthcare initiatives like the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid expansion.
Potential Concerns about her impact as Secretary of Labor
Allegiance to Trump and potential for undermining agency function: Democrats have voiced concerns that Chavez-DeRemer may prioritize loyalty to former President Trump over the integrity of the Department of Labor’s functions. These concerns include worries about her willingness to resist attempts to dismantle federal agencies or interfere with investigations, particularly involving entities or individuals associated with the Trump administration.
Impact on labor regulations: While Chavez-DeRemer has a mixed record on labor issues, some speculate that as Secretary of Labor she may be more aligned with policies that favor businesses over workers, such as potentially rolling back regulations on classifying workers as independent contractors.
Approach to data and transparency: Some are concerned about Chavez-DeRemer’s approach to data integrity after she supported Trump’s decision to fire the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics following a negative jobs report, accusing the agency of releasing manipulated data without providing evidence. There have also been instances where her department threatened employees with legal consequences for speaking with journalists.

Secretary of Health and
Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. 2025–present
UNQUALIFIED!
1. Lack of relevant experience and understanding of the healthcare system
* Kennedy, lacks the necessary training, administrative experience, and understanding of the complex U.S. healthcare system to lead an agency like HHS, which has a massive budget and workforce.
* During his confirmation hearings, Kennedy demonstrated a lack of fundamental knowledge about health policy and the functions of various health agencies.
* Limited management experience, primarily with environmental advocacy groups, is insufficient for overseeing a large government agency.
2. History of promoting misinformation and conspiracy theories
Kennedy has a well-documented history of promoting unscientific claims, particularly regarding vaccines.
* He has spread conspiracy theories about the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccines, and the role of HIV in causing AIDS, among others.
* His past rhetoric has included racially charged claims, such as the false assertion that COVID-19 was “ethnically targeted” to spare certain populations.
3. Impact on public health and scientific institutions
* Kennedy’s appointment will undermine public trust in scientific institutions and evidence-based decision-making in healthcare.
* Public health professionals and scientists have warned that his views on vaccines will significantly impact public health practices and vaccination rates.
* Kennedy’s leadership will hobble federal health agencies like the CDC and FDA, potentially impacting responses to health emergencies and access to life-saving treatments.
4. Policy positions and contradictory statements
* Kennedy’s stance on vaccines, including his doubts about their safety and effectiveness, goes against scientific consensus and will be detrimental to public health nationwide.
* Always mischaracterizing the causes of chronic diseases and proposing solutions that are not supported by scientific evidence.
* His views on other issues like abortion rights and drug legalization have also drawn scrutiny and criticism.
These concerns are rooted in his past statements, policy positions, and lack of relevant experience for the role.
2025 MAY: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Takes Grandkids into a D.C. Creek Known For Fecal Contamination and other infectious pathogens
In May 2025 Robert F. Kennedy Jr., then serving as the US Health Secretary, shared photos on social media of himself and his grandchildren swimming in Rock Creek in Washington, D.C., despite warnings about high levels of contamination.

The National Park Service and other agencies have long issued warnings against swimming or wading in Rock Creek due to chronic elevated levels of bacteria, including E. coli, and other infectious pathogens. The creek is known to receive overflow from the city’s combined sewer system during rainfall, contributing to the contamination. Swimming in District waterways has been banned for over 50 years because of widespread contamination.

RFK Jr.’s actions drew criticism from public health officials and environmental advocates, given his previous environmental advocacy work focused on clean water.

Robert Kennedy Jr. has ALSO said, before he sold out to MAGA:
“I’m very pro vaccine. I get all six of my kids vaccinated. I believe vaccines save millions of lives, and people ought to be getting vaccinated.”
Robert Kennedy, Jr.
“I think global warming is the gravest threat. With global warming, it’s the product of a war between old energy – between the carbon cronies, who, by the way, could not stay in business in a true free market capitalism.”
Robert Kennedy, Jr.
“PBS was not a left-wing ideology. I mean, Air America was, but PBS was not. But anybody who tells the truth is now branded and marginalized. The devolution of the American press began in 1986 when Ronald Reagan abolished the fairness doctrine.”
Robert Kennedy, Jr.
“Democracy is about institutions: it’s about having things like schools and judiciary and the Ford Foundation, or ‘The Nation’ magazine – you need progressive institutions, you know what I mean? Those are important institutions to make sure that the government functions.”
Robert Kennedy, Jr.
“I always saw pollution as theft, and I always thought, ‘Why should somebody be able to pollute the air, which belongs to all of us, or destroy a river or a waterway, which is supposed to belong to the whole community?'”
Robert Kennedy, Jr.
“Water keepers patrol local waterways and prosecute polluters. Essentially, they act as the community’s coast guard.”
Robert Kennedy, Jr.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr was confirmed as the Secretary of the US Health and Human Services Department. Put simply, this makes him the most influential figure in overseeing the health and wellbeing of more than 330 million Americans.
As health secretary, Kennedy will be involved in overseeing federal health agencies that regulate medical research, disease prevention, drug approvals and health-care programs.
This includes oversight of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration and the National Institutes of Health, which are among the most crucial public health agencies in the country.
Reports suggest he’ll oversee a budget in the order of US$1.8 trillion (A$2.8 trillion) annually.
In the era of Trump 2.0, there’s little that shocks me anymore. But Kennedy would have to be the most unqualified person ever to hold this crucial role of protecting the health of the American people.
“A history of discounting science
The absolute minimum requirement for someone occupying such as role should be an understanding of science and respect for scientific evidence and expertise. Yet, Kennedy fails spectacularly in this regard.
Here are just some of the false claims he has made over the years:
* Kennedy has suggested Lyme disease is likely to be an engineered bioweapon
* he reportedly said 99% of COVID deaths occurred in people with vitamin D deficiencies
* he has questioned the role of HIV in causing AIDS.
None of these positions has even the smallest amount of scientific support.
It’s hard to predict what Kennedy will do as health secretary, especially given his confirmation hearings looked to be an exercise in being vague, evasive and denying or downplaying his prior controversial statements to secure support.
But there are three areas where his views are fairly clear and his appointment could be expected to have a significant impact. These are water fluoridation, infectious diseases research and vaccines.
Fluoridation of water
Kennedy has been a long-term opponent of water fluoridation, despite its proven benefits in preventing tooth decay. He has consistently questioned its safety and claimed it’s linked to a range of illnesses such as arthritis, bone cancer, IQ loss and neurodevelopmental disorders.
While a recent review suggested a link between water fluoridation and lower IQ in children, the levels of fluoride in the water in countries included in this review were generally several times higher than the levels in public water fluoridation programs in countries such as the US and Australia. There were also other limitations that make interpreting these findings challenging.
The CDC has identified community water fluoridation as as one of the ten great public health achievements of the 20th century. And it continues to benefit dental health today, without any convincing evidence of possible harms.
Nonetheless, it seems likely that in keeping with his longstanding views one of Kennedy’s first priorities will be to try to halt water fluoridation in the US.
Infectious diseases
Alongside his confirmation as health secretary, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing “The President’s Commission to Make America Healthy Again”, with Kennedy as the chair.
The Make America Healthy Again movement (MAHA) is an initiative driven by Kennedy focusing on improving nutrition, increasing transparency in medical practices and reducing the corporate influence in health.
Though premised primarily on combating chronic diseases, the movement also embraces scepticism of established medical practices, unproven alternative therapies and a general mistrust of institutions.
What’s more, Kennedy’s focus on chronic diseases seems to be coming at the expense of continued work on infectious diseases.
He has proposed directing the National Institutes of Health to pause infectious disease research for eight years to prioritise research into chronic diseases and alternative treatments.
As health secretary, Kennedy has the power to shift research priorities. If he were to effectively halt infectious diseases research – in the wake of COVID and with a looming threat of future pandemics – this would be catastrophic for the US and global health.
Vaccine scepticism
Related to infectious diseases, there’s little doubt the area in which Kennedy has done the most damage relates to vaccines.
He has dedicated a large part of his life to undermining public confidence in vaccines. This is despite overwhelming scientific evidence demonstrating their safety and effectiveness, and the millions of lives they’ve saved.
Although he has subsequently denied it, Kennedy is on record as falsely stating there is no such thing as a safe and effective vaccine. Notably, he has continued to push the debunked claim that the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is linked to autism, despite the single study finding this having been widely discredited.
Kennedy’s frequent assertion that he’s not anti-vaccine, but “pro-safety”, is also deeply disingenuous. Being “pro-safety” is a deliberately vague notion designed to appear reasonable while at the same time undermining the scientific evidence.
The impact of Kennedy’s appointment as health secretary on vaccine confidence will not just be limited to the US. Vaccine hesitancy has been recognised as one of the greatest threats to public health. Having a vaccine sceptic leading the US health agencies has the potential to harm vaccine uptake worldwide.
As we’ve seen during the COVID pandemic, producing a vaccine is only half the battle. Convincing people to take it is just as important. There’s no doubt Kennedy’s influence on public health messaging could further erode vaccine confidence at a time when vaccine messaging must be clear.
It’s bad news for the US and the world
One of the reasons Kennedy poses such a threat to public health in the US and globally is his lack of trust in science. He believes a narrative can be crafted by picking and choosing any study that fits with his world view, regardless of its quality.
In addition, he personifies the bad-faith tactics of conspiracy theorists globally, “selling” the flawed premise that any assertion is valid until others prove it false.
What the world needs now is a safe pair of hands leading public health in the US. Someone who is guided by evidence – not someone who promotes anti-science propaganda and conspiracy theories.”

Secretary of Housing and
Urban Development Scott Turner 2025–present
Turner, a former NFL player and Texas state representative, was confirmed by the Senate in February 2025. Concerns have been voiced by housing and homelessness advocates, highlighting several points of criticism:
Approach to homelessness: Critics argue that Turner rejects the effectiveness of the “Housing First” model and instead favors policies that could lead to the criminalization of homelessness and the creation of relocation camps.
Stance on fair housing: Some fear Turner may weaken fair housing protections. Concerns include his legislative record on limiting rental assistance access and the removal of information about a task force addressing appraisal bias in communities of color from the HUD website under his leadership.
Funding for housing programs: Advocates worry about potential cuts to HUD funding, impacting crucial programs and services provided by nonprofits and homeless service organizations. According to ProPublica and NPR, Turner previously opposed expanding affordable rental housing and supported legislation allowing landlords to refuse tenants receiving federal housing assistance.
Focus on the private sector and deregulation: Turner has emphasized streamlining HUD operations, reducing regulations, and fostering private-sector partnerships to increase affordable housing and promote self-sufficiency. While some see this as a way to lower costs and unleash prosperity, critics worry it could lead to reduced tenant protections and inadequate support for vulnerable populations.
As a Texas state legislator, Turner voted against expanding affordable rental housing and supported a bill allowing landlords to refuse tenants receiving federal housing assistance.
The Trump administration proposed significant cuts to HUD’s budget during both its first term and in the recent FY26 budget request, which could drastically reduce funding for vital affordable housing, homelessness, and community development initiatives. Turner declined to say whether he would oppose such cuts when asked during his confirmation process.
Organizations like the National Low Income Housing Coalition and the National Fair Housing Alliance have expressed their intent to monitor and engage with HUD’s policies to ensure that they promote housing affordability and equity for all.

Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy 2025–present
Reality TV: He appeared on MTV’s “The Real World: Boston” in 1997 and “Road Rules: All Stars”, where he met his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy.
After leaving Congress, he hosted “The Bottom Line with Dagen and Duffy” on Fox Business.
Lacks experience leading a large federal agency like the Department of Transportation.
Duffy announced that the federal government would assume control of Pennsylvania Station. In addition, he threatened to withhold federal funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority over subway crime, risking the city’s US$14 billion effort to improve transit that depends on federal assistance.
Duffy cut federal funding for the Texas Central Railway in April and California High-Speed Rail in June.

Secretary of Energy Chris Wright 2025–present
* The Department of Energy, under Wright’s leadership, experienced a workforce reduction that impacted employees responsible for maintaining nuclear weapons. While the layoffs were quickly reversed, this incident should raise concerns about the management of critical nuclear security functions under his leadership.
* Makes false or misleading statements about climate change: Wright engages in disinformation and making inaccurate statements regarding climate science and the impacts of burning fossil fuels. Such statements are dangerous, particularly coming from a person in a position of power responsible for informing the nation’s energy transition.
* Downplays climate change and its impacts: Wright acknowledges the existence of climate change but has downplayed its severity and potential impacts, according to The New York Times. This stance ignores the consensus among the vast majority of climate scientists regarding the urgency of the climate crisis.
* Prioritizes fossil fuel production over clean energy transition: Wright’s policies prioritize maximizing oil and gas production and undermining efforts to accelerate the transition to renewable energy sources. This approach jeopardizes American jobs in the burgeoning green energy sector and protects the interests of the fossil fuel industry.
* Opposes climate-related regulations and policies: Wright has been a vocal critic of policies aimed at addressing climate change, such as the Department of Energy’s net-zero carbon emissions goal and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s climate-related disclosure rule. These actions hinder the US’s ability to combat climate change and protect the environment.

Secretary of Education Linda McMahon 2025–present
UNQUALIFIED!
* She has been a long-time ally of Trump, providing $6 million to his campaign in 2016 alone.
* America First Action, a pro-Trump Super PAC chaired by McMahon, helped raise $83 million for Trump’s reelection campaign in 2020.
* Her appointment as Secretary of Education is more a result of her political alignment and her relationship with Trump.
* Lack of Education Experience: She served only a brief time on a state board of education and in business leadership positions. This makes her ill-equipped to lead the Department of Education and address complex educational challenges.
* Lawsuit alleging enabling child sexual abuse: A lawsuit filed in October 2024 cites Linda McMahon and her husband, Vince McMahon, of knowing about and failing to stop the alleged sexual abuse of “ring boys” by a WWE employee during their time leading the organization in the 1980s and 1990s.

* Misstatements and lack of knowledge during confirmation hearing: During her confirmation hearing in February 2025, McMahon showed an inability to name federal education laws and for her defense that she hopes to learn on the job. She also made a major fumble during a Fox News interview regarding federal programs.
* When McMahon was being vetted to join the state board of education in Connecticut, she falsely claimed to have a teaching degree. That wasn’t true; she majored in French.
* Mass termination of DOE staff: In March 2025, McMahon oversaw the termination of roughly half of the DOE staff, stating it was “the first step on the road to a total shutdown” of the Department. Two lower courts temporarily blocked the firings, but the injunction was lifted by the Trump Supreme Court in July 2025.
* McMahon has chaired the America First Policy Institute, a think tank promoting reforms that emphasize a “patriotic” view of American history, downplaying critical perspectives of Historical FACTS, thus … the rewriting of historical facts, so children will not be taught the truth going forward. Every parent should care.
* Support for School Choice and Vouchers: A major concern is McMahon’s strong advocacy for school voucher programs, according to the National Education Association. These programs divert public funds to private and charter schools, weakening public education systems, particularly in underserved communities.
* Dismantling the Department of Education: McMahon’s rhetoric and alignment with the Trump administration’s goal of significantly reducing or even eliminating the Department of Education raises alarm for those who believe in a strong federal role in ensuring educational standards and our civil rights.
* Focus on Workforce-Oriented Education: McMahon emphasizes aligning education with workforce demands, prioritizing vocational training over a broader, humanities-focused education that encourages critical thinking and creativity. It will lead to a less well-rounded education for students and create a system prioritizing economic outcomes above all else.
* She lacks the necessary (basic) understanding of what it takes to help every student succeed.

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins 2025–present
In the late 1980s, Collins served two years in the United States Navy as a navy chaplain. After the September 11 attacks, Collins joined the United States Air Force Reserve Command, where he presently serves as a chaplain (Colonel).
Workforce reductions and contracts: A number of sources cite the administration’s stated goal to reduce the VA workforce as a major concern. VA officials, including Secretary Collins, have at times clarified that a mass RIF (reduction in force) is not planned, and reductions may come from attrition and other means, but the issue continues to spark concern among veterans groups, VA unions, and members of Congress. Concerns also exist about the cancellation of contracts that provide critical services to veterans and help with oversight functions.
In March, a memo from VA Chief of Staff Christopher Syrek stated the department was planning to return to 2019 staffing levels. That plan, if implemented, would eliminate about 80,000 jobs across the VA.
Collins said the VA didn’t come up with this 15% staff reduction target on its own. Instead, he said the Trump administration set “across the board” 15% staff reduction targets for all agencies.
Concerns about the quality and accessibility of care: Opponents of the cuts argue that they threaten the quality and accessibility of care for veterans, potentially leading to longer wait times, diminished services, and even delayed care for those with urgent needs. Specifically, concerns have been raised about impacts to the Veterans Crisis Line, mental health care, and other vital services.
Transparency and accountability: Secretary Collins has been criticized for a perceived lack of transparency and accountability, with concerns raised about the administration’s communication with Congress and responsiveness to requests for information.
Focus on private care over VA facilities: Some express concern that Collins favors an increase in spending on outsourced community care over funding for direct VA healthcare, potentially weakening the VA system, according to the Washington Monthly.

UNQUALIFIED!!
Secretary of Homeland Security? … WTF!!!
Kristi Noem 2025–present
Incompetence and disregard for due process:
* Noem has committed numerous violations of due process, including deporting US citizens, detaining individuals without authorization in offshore prisons like Guantanamo Bay, and violating due process in a case involving Kilmar, which her office attributed to an administrative error.
* She’s been weaponizing the Real ID system to create fear and heartache.
* Demonstrates incompetence and a lack of respect for the rule of law.
Abuse of power and questionable use of resources:
* Noem’s office is using its power to abduct students on campuses and label them domestic terrorists.
* Her office has spent large sums of taxpayer money on propaganda commercials and detaining individuals in Guantanamo Bay who were subsequently returned, highlighting concerns about financial mismanagement.
* ProPublica reported that Noem secretly accepted $80,000 from a dark money group that promotes her political career, an arrangement described as “highly unusual” by experts, raising questions about ethics and conflicts of interest. This payment was not disclosed on her federal ethics forms, violating federal requirements.
* She’s been using Coast Guard executive jets for personal travel while living rent-free in military housing, pampering herself at taxpayer expense while directing inhumane treatment of others.
Dishonesty and lack of credibility:
* Noem faced backlash for making inaccurate claims in her memoir, “No Going Back,” particularly regarding alleged meetings with foreign leaders like Kim Jong-un and Emmanuel Macron, which were later retracted or refuted.
* This has led to accusations of dishonesty and raises concerns about her trustworthiness in a high-level government position.
Lack of experience in national security:
* Noem lacks the necessary national security credentials to head the Department of Homeland Security.
* Her history, and lack of directly relevant experience, are why she is not suited for the role.
Other controversies affecting her image and perceived judgment:
* Her recounting in her book of killing her family dog because it would not obey, and a family goat; and her subsequent defense of these actions, drew widespread criticism and real concerns about her judgment.
* She also faced backlash for her stance on issues like abortion, her handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many other controversies during her time as governor of South Dakota.
These concerns collectively contribute to the FACT that Kristi Noem is unqualified for her current role as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Administrator of the
Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin 2025–present
Lee Zeldin, as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has taken actions and holds positions that are viewed as detrimental to environmental protection.
Undermining the Endangerment Finding: Zeldin’s administration has proposed rescinding the 2009 EPA Endangerment Finding, which concluded that greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare. This finding provides the legal basis for the EPA to regulate greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act. Critics argue that repealing it would allow increased greenhouse gas pollution with severe consequences for public health and climate change, according to Earth Day. He has referred to the Endangerment Finding as “the holy grail of the climate change religion”.
Deregulatory Agenda and Rollbacks: Zeldin has announced a plan to roll back numerous environmental regulations, calling it “the greatest day of deregulation in American history”. This includes easing limits on mercury emissions from power plants, restricting soot from smokestacks, and eliminating the “good neighbor rule” requiring states to address pollution affecting neighboring states. Opponents contend that these actions would jeopardize air and water quality and public health.
Prioritizing Fossil Fuels: Zeldin is considered a supporter of fossil fuels and has advocated for policies that would expand the industry, according to the Sierra Club. He has received campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry. Zeldin believes that protecting the environment shouldn’t “suffocate the economy” and emphasizes supporting “all sources of energy”. Critics, however, argue that expanding fossil fuel use contributes significantly to climate change.
Cutting Clean Energy Programs: The EPA under Zeldin terminated the $7 billion “Solar for All” program, designed to help low-income households access solar power. This move has been challenged by Democratic lawmakers who argue it is illegal because the funds were already obligated.
Dismissing Climate Science and Undermining the EPA’s Mission: Zeldin’s comments and actions are seen by critics as downplaying the severity of climate change and undermining the scientific basis for environmental regulations. He has been accused of aligning with anti-climate action agendas and prioritizing corporate interests over environmental protection. Environmental groups, including the League of Conservation Voters, have given Zeldin a low environmental score based on his voting record in Congress.
Staff Cuts and Reduced Enforcement: Zeldin’s administration has frozen billions in climate funding, attempted mass layoffs of EPA staff, and moved to repeal pollution rules. He has also eliminated enforcement efforts that prioritized the protection of poor and minority communities. Critics express concern that these actions weaken the EPA’s ability to fulfill its mission.
Limited experience in environmental and climate issues: Despite serving four terms in the House and sitting on the Veterans’ Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Financial Services committees, Zeldin has limited prior experience related to environmental or climate change issues.
Voting record on environmental issues: The League of Conservation Voters awarded Zeldin an extremely low 14% lifetime score on their National Environmental Scorecard, indicating a pattern of voting against environmental protections and safeguards. Specific examples include voting against the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, as well as opposing efforts to improve clean air standards.
Statements and skepticism about climate change: Zeldin’s past statements suggest he is unconvinced about the severity of climate change. He has also made remarks that have been interpreted as dismissive of climate science.
Ties to polluter-funded organizations: Concerns have been raised about Zeldin’s affiliations with and income from organizations and consulting clients aligned with former President Trump, potentially influencing his stance on environmental protection.
His broader policy agenda and rhetoric have generated significant concern among environmental advocates and scientists about the future of environmental protection and climate action under his leadership.
Specific policy objectives, especially with recent EPA appointment: With Zeldin’s nomination and subsequent confirmation as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, certain donor interests may be focused on influencing environmental policy. For instance, a PAC associated with Zeldin received a $50,000 donation from Yasur LLC, a company linked to Yossi Sagol, after his nomination. This could indicate an interest in specific areas of environmental policy. Following his appointment, Zeldin terminated billions in grants from the Biden-Harris administration’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, citing concerns about program integrity and misalignment with EPA priorities.

Director of the Office of
Management and Budget Russell Vought 2025–present
There are many ways that Russell Vought is detrimental to the United States.
July 23, 2025
House Appropriations
Press Release
WASHINGTON — Today, the non-partisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) issued another impoundment decision. After investigating the withholding of appropriated funding at the Department of Health and Human Services for the Head Start Program, GAO confirmed what we already knew: President Trump and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russ Vought’s attacks on American families and early childhood learning programs are unlawful.
This decision upholds the intent of the Congress and the President who passed annual appropriations Acts, including appropriations to provide early learning opportunities to preschoolers from economically disadvantaged families.
“Working class, middle class, and vulnerable families are struggling with the cost of living. Instead of addressing this crisis, President Trump and OMB Director Russ Vought made it worse by unlawfully stealing critical preschool and Head Start funds for states across the country,” said House Appropriations Committee and Labor, Health and Human Services, Education Subcommittee Ranking Member DeLauro. “It does not matter how long these funds were frozen. The chaos and uncertainty of illegally withholding these funds is costly and hurts the hundreds of thousands of families that dependon Head Start.Head Start helps young children build the most basic and fundamental skills to begin their education—an education that is vital to reaching the American Dream. That is why this program has been supported by both Democrats and Republicans since it was created and must be shielded from President Trump and Russ Vought’s lawlessness.”
“Russ Vought is behind the illegal stealing of congressionally directed funds and must be removed from his position. He has orchestrated a lawless upheaval of the entire federal government based on his deluded and debunked views of government, and of the law,” DeLauro continued. “Russ Vought is an unelected bureaucrat, much like those he professes to detest, and he has decided that his views, and his priorities, are superior to the priorities, directives, and lawful decisions of the Democratic and Republican representatives in the United States Congress. He wants to upend the bipartisan appropriations process. And he certainly does not concern himself with the plight of the American people. He has shown time and again that he is willing to break the law and hurt Americans in order to fund tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations. He must be stopped.”
Project 2025:
Vought played a key role in Project 2025, a collection of conservative and right-wing policy proposals from The Heritage Foundation. Organizations collaborating in this project have received dark money contributions.
Challenges to Congressional Authority and the Separation of Powers:
* Vought has advocated for the President to have significantly more control over the federal budget, including the ability to withhold congressionally appropriated funds, which violates the Impoundment Control Act and undermines the separation of powers inherent in the US Constitution.
* He has supported bypassing the Senate’s role in the confirmation process through the use of recess appointments and abusing emergency powers.
* These actions would concentrate an unprecedented amount of power within the executive branch, transforming the government from a democracy to an autocracy.
Deconstruction of the Civil Service and Public Services:
* Vought is a strong proponent of implementing “Schedule F,” which would eliminate job protections for thousands of career federal employees and make them fireable at will, according to the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
* He has been quoted saying he wants to “traumatize” federal workers and view them as “villains,” undermining the stability of the federal workforce and compromising the integrity of government services.
* This will lead to a government system prioritizing partisan and ideological goals over the constitution, the rule of law, and the public’s best interest, harming the ability of the government to deliver essential services to communities across the country.
Radical Deregulation and Deep Spending Cuts:
* Vought has advocated for massive cuts to government spending across the board, targeting programs like Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and various environmental protection initiatives, according to the League of Conservation Voters.
* He is leading a “deregulatory agenda” that prioritizes the interests of polluting industries and corporations over the health and safety of the American public and the environment.
* He is directly involved with Project 2025, a policy blueprint calling for consolidating presidential power and dismantling critical public services and programs, as evidence of his intentions.
Controversial Statements and Actions:
* Vought has a history of controversial statements, including comments about Muslims, as reported by The Washington Post and that all non-Christians are “condemned,” according to the League of Conservation Voters.
* He was involved in the decision to freeze aid to Ukraine, which was central to the first Trump impeachment.
* He has been criticized for advocating for the use of the Insurrection Act to deploy the military on the American public.

~ Steve Schmidt
2025JUL24
Echoing Russian and Chinese narratives:
Gabbard’s rhetoric, especially regarding Ukraine and biolabs, aligns closely with narratives promoted by Russia, raising concerns about potential impacts on U.S. foreign policy and alliances.
Past meeting with Bashar al-Assad:
Gabbard’s 2017 meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a figure accused of war crimes, drew significant criticism and raised questions about her judgment and potential alignment with authoritarian regimes.
Questions about loyalty and national security:
Many have questioned Gabbard’s loyalty to the U.S. and raised concerns about national security due to her past statements and actions, particularly in light of her potential nomination to lead the U.S. intelligence apparatus.
Lack of intelligence experience:
Gabbard lacks the necessary experience to hold a high-level intelligence position, further fueling dire concerns about her suitability for such a role.

UNQUALIFIED!!
Director of the
Central Intelligence Agency John Ratcliffe 2025–present
1. Politicizing intelligence and prioritizing loyalty over objectivity.
Declassification of unverified intelligence:
Ratcliffe declassified Russian intelligence alleging damaging information about Democrats from the 2016 election, even acknowledging that the information was unverified. This was a politically motivated act designed to benefit the Trump administration and undermine trust in the intelligence community.
Discrediting the intelligence community’s findings on election interference:
Ratcliffe publicly asserted there was no intelligence supporting the claim that a laptop containing potentially damaging information about Hunter Biden was part of a Russian smear campaign, despite subsequent intelligence analysis finding Russian proxies promoted misleading narratives about the Bidens. This proved that he was willing to disregard or misrepresent intelligence assessments that contradicted the former President’s political interests.
Concerns about prioritizing loyalty:
As a self-proclaimed Trump loyalist, Ratcliffe’s appointments raised concerns about his ability to remain objective and deliver unbiased intelligence assessments that might contradict the President’s preferred narratives. This has led to politicization of intelligence and “intelligence failures” due to self-censorship within the agencies.
2. Lack of experience and qualifications.
Limited national security experience:
Ratcliffe has limited experience in national security and intelligence prior to his DNI nomination. Concerns about this lack of experience were a significant factor in his initial withdrawal from consideration as DNI in 2019.
Embellishing his record:
During the DNI nomination process, Ratcliffe exaggerated his experience as a federal prosecutor and misrepresented his role in key terrorism and immigration cases.
3. Impact on U.S. Intelligence agencies.
Undermining trust and TRUTH:
Ratcliffe’s actions undermined trust in the intelligence community and the credibility of the information it provides.
Sidelining career professionals:
During his tenure, Ratcliffe was seen as using his position to score political points and sideline career intelligence officials, compromising the integrity and effectiveness of the intelligence community.

United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer 2025–present
The trade policies championed by U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will have negative impacts on U.S. trade, primarily stemming from his embrace of tariffs and a more protectionist approach.
Lack of congressional accountability:
The Trump administration’s implementation of tariffs without sufficient input or accountability to Congress is bad for all of America. A USTR should prioritize a “Do No Harm” approach and work collaboratively with trade allies rather than unilaterally imposing tariffs.
Reliance on tariffs:
Greer and the Trump administration have significantly increased the use of tariffs as a tool of trade policy, arguing it’s necessary to address imbalances and unfair practices by other countries. However, tariffs are essentially taxes on consumers and businesses, raising prices and leads to retaliatory tariffs that harm U.S. exporters and jobs. Some economists, for example, estimate the recent tariffs could cost the average U.S. household the equivalent of $2,400 annually or much more.
Disruption of the global trading system:
Greer has argued the existing WTO framework is “untenable and unsustainable” and has pushed for a “Trump Round” of trade negotiations. This approach undermines the multilateral trading system and will lead to increased instability and uncertainty in global trade.
Risk of unintended consequences:
Greer acknowledges that the adjustment to a new trade approach “may be challenging at times”. The potential for unintended consequences like disruptions to global supply chains, increased costs for businesses, and a slowdown in economic growth is all but assured.
Questioning the effectiveness of tariffs in achieving desired outcomes:
While Greer argues tariffs are producing positive results like increased market access for U.S. exporters and domestic investment, others question whether these results are truly due to tariffs or would have happened anyway. They point to, for example, a record U.S. trade deficit despite tariffs on China, suggesting importers simply shifted sourcing to other countries.

Administrator of the
Small Business Administration Kelly Loeffler 2025–present
Concerns about partisanship:
Organizations like Small Business Majority have expressed concerns that Loeffler’s leadership could politicize the SBA, thereby undermining its ability to effectively serve small businesses regardless of political affiliation.
Staff reductions:
Loeffler has overseen a plan to reduce the SBA workforce by 2,700 employees, representing a significant cut to agency staff. This measure disrupts the agency’s effectiveness, diminishes institutional knowledge, and negatively impacts customer service.
Support for the Trump administration’s agenda:
Loeffler’s staunch support for the Trump administration’s policies, particularly those related to trade (tariffs), have created uncertainty and negatively impacted small businesses.
Budget cuts and restructuring of the SBA:
The current administration’s budget cuts, including a $167 million reduction in the SBA’s entrepreneurial development program, are projected to lead to the closure of many business resource centers, including Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOCs). Furthermore, under Loeffler’s leadership, the SBA has undertaken a significant staffing reduction (eliminating 2,700 employees, or 43% of its staff). These actions negatively impact small businesses’ access to support and resources.

Chief of Staff Susie Wiles 2025–present
Lobbying and potential conflicts of interest:
Wiles’ background as a lobbyist for various organizations, including a tobacco company and a firm representing clients such as Airbnb and Pfizer, has drawn scrutiny. Her past lobbying activities and connections to powerful entities will create conflicts of interest in her role as a top White House official. Some groups have called for her to recuse herself from decisions impacting her former clients and to be more transparent about the access afforded to corporations and special interests in the White House.
Allegations of ethical misconduct and undermining democratic processes:
Wiles’ past association with former President Trump has also attracted criticism. She was notably dismissed from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ political team amid accusations of leaking information and engaging in influence-peddling. Additionally, as an “enabler” of Trump’s ambitions, her strategic political skills have been used to advance agendas that are detrimental to a democratic society’s norms.
Foreign influence concerns:
Wiles’ past work at a lobbying firm that represented Russian-born oligarchs and a state-owned oil corporation, and her ex-husband’s connections to a Kremlin-linked lobbyist, raise concerns about foreign influence within the administration.
1. Association with Trump’s rhetoric and dictatorial ambitions.
* Wiles is an enabler of Trump’s rhetoric and potential dictatorial ambitions, despite her being a self-described moderate.
* While Wiles is seen by some as a moderating force on Trump, capable of influencing his behavior, others express worry that her presence in such a high-level position will facilitate potentially harmful policies or approaches.
2. Lobbying background and conflicts of interest.
* Wiles’s background as a lobbyist has raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest, particularly given her role in advising Trump and shaping policy.
* Transparency organizations have urged her to recuse herself from matters related to her former clients and provide clearer guidelines on corporate access to the White House to prevent the appearance of undue influence.
For instance, Wiles previously lobbied on behalf of a tobacco company. This could create a conflict of interest in future policy decisions related to tobacco regulation.
3. Political strategies and actions during campaigns.
* Wiles’s involvement in the “darkest election campaign in recent U.S. history”, referring to Trump’s 2024 campaign which included rhetoric described as divisive and harmful.

* During the 2024 election, Wiles was identified as the individual to whom Trump allegedly showed a classified map, potentially revealing classified information inappropriately.
